Avoid headaches trying to figure out why your friend in Alaska is having breakfast while you are having lunch in Detroit. Have a look; as it can get very complicated in some regions.

 

Mountain Time includes also Arizona (Phoenix, Grand Canyon). However, while Europe and the United States observe the Daylight Saving Time, Arizona does not. This means that Arizona has an -8 Hour difference with Europe during winter but during the Daylight Saving Time it falls under Pacific Time(-9 hours).

 

To make it more complicated, the Navajo Nation, who's land goes across 4 states (New Mexico, Colorado, Utah and Arizona) opted to use the Daylight Saving Time. So when making an appointment with a Navajo, make sure you specify which time you are using, Arizona or Utah Time
